Context
Problem
Usually the mechanical screw-nut cylinder is not lubricated, but given the age of the excavator, the customer decided to lubricate the screw-nut system with Castrol's Optigear BM 460. Although the oil gives full satisfaction, it must be applied at least once a week, witch is a costly and time-consuming operation.
Solution
A MEMOLUB® HPS lubrication system, with the MEMOLUB® OIL R-500 refillable and reusable oil reservoir was installed.
Results
- A 75% more efficient operation as maintenance crews only need to visit the site once a month to top up the oil reservoir.
- Regular and effective application of Optigear BM 460 to the screw-nut assembly.
