MEMOLUB^® PLCD

BUILD-IN LUBRICATION IN AEROSPACE TOOLING AND AUTOMATION EQUIPMENT.

CONTEXT

A worldwide manufacturer of precision machine tools and automation equipment for the aerospace industry with clients such as Airbus, Boeing, Bombardier, etc needed to lubricate mechanical components in their fast-moving 3-axis machines.

PROBLEM

At first, a centralized system was considered given the amount of lubrication points. The OEM abandoned this type of power plant given the difficult installation on 3-axis machines. The search for an alternative started.

SOLUTION

The integration of multiple MEMOLUB® PLCD automatic lubrication systems driven by the machine's PLC in combination with 4, 6 and 8 outlet distributor blocks allowed this OEM to tailor the lubrication of up to fifty lubrication points in their machine.

RESULTS

A reliable and tailored solution that is duplicated to multiple other machines produced by this OEM.
Massive financial savings as the costs for both installation and operation is much cheaper than those of a centralised system.
