PROBLEM
An annual average temperature of 34⁰C and 65% humidity with very little rain (64mm/year) at the site in combination with manual lubrication, difficult and dangerous access, a lot of downtime (shutdown) for maintenance and unexpected failures of the equipment made costs escalate.
SOLUTION
On every nodding donkey on site, 5 MEMOLUB® HPS automatic lubricators where installed at 5 different positions on the equipment (equalizer bearing, brake side bearing, engine, central bearing and crank bearing). With the help of the red MEMOLUB® HPS MEMO adjustment ring the expulsion volume was set at 1,2cm3/day at a frequency of 12 months.
